Sector by Sector Wednesday | Three Minutes on Markets & Money [7/14/21]

(7/14/21) A review of the strong and weak sectors of the markets, which are generally elevated with positive money flows, suggesting limited upside and consolidation; watch the behavior of the MACD. Communications are stalled, Utilities haven't participated in market lift; Discretionary looks to have peaked. Staples haven't participated well in market rally, failing at the 50-DMA. Energy breaks its 50-DMA, with more downside risk. Financials are struggling at their 50-DMA; Healthcare is another area performing well, from which to take some profits. Industrials and Materials are coming under pressure with deflationary influences in the economy. Real Estate's huge run looks to have peaked. Technology has been leading the overall market, and this is where money is hiding.
