Associate Account Manager Job Description

We are a high growth, disruptive company combining gold and technology. Our vision is to help the world rediscover honest money. The successful candidate brings significant skills to help propel us forward on our mission. The Associate Account Manager is the backbone of our sales team, in this role you will support Relationship and Account Managers in providing excellent service to new and existing clients of Monetary Metals. Upon completion of FINRA licensing exams and demonstration of competence and commitment, you will have the opportunity to build, manage and close a pipeline of business – including inbound and outbound sales campaigns.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Working with new clients to complete paperwork and open their account
  • Assisting with the purchase, sale, and withdrawal of metal
  • Helping current clients with new opportunities and handling related paperwork
  • Keeping databases — Salesforce & proprietary platforms – up to date
  • Becoming fluent in Monetary Metals’ product offerings & values
  • Pass FINRA licensing exams: SIE, Series 7 and Series 63
  • Demonstrate drive, enthusiasm & commitment to the vision of Monetary Metals
  • Some travel may be required (e.g. quarterly trade shows)

Must-Have:

  • A hungry & motivated disposition. We are a rapidly growing company and are looking to change the way people invest in gold and silver
  • A background in client-facing roles including sales and customer service
  • An energetic self-starter with the ability to take direction and the motivation to succeed
  • Detail-oriented and careful by nature. We will train you the right way, but you must be able to execute correctly
  • A willingness to wear many hats. We are a growing company. You will be asked to work on projects outside of your job description or to contribute in other ways
  • Comfortability with rejection. This job will grow into a sales role, and you must be comfortable with hearing “no” from prospects
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work with Microsoft Office Business Suite (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word)

Desirable but Not Required:

  • An understanding of gold as an investment
  • History and success working in previous sales roles
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM system
  • SIE License

Compensation/Perks

  • Base salary plus eligible monthly bonuses once you advance
  • Opportunity to advance to:
  • Account Manager role (handling current clients)
  • Relationship Manager role (handling new clients)
  • Flexible PTO
  • Ability to work remotely
