Markets’ Response to a More Hawkish Fed | 3 Minutes on Markets & Money [6/17/21]

The Fed shifts to a more-hawkish tone, but markets don't believe their timing. Rate hikes are expected as soon as 2022. Money Flow sell signals are being triggered; VIX is triggering a buy signal, S&P triggering a "sell." There is a risk of a bigger correction coming. Weekly sell signal is setting up--but doesn't matter until the end of the week. When the weekly sell signal aligns with the daily sell signal, odds are improved for a correction of 5% or greater. Watch the Bond Market--about to signal a buy signal.
