AEC Announces Austrian Economics Conference in Vienna

10th International Conference “The Austrian School of Economics in the 21st Century” will be held in Vienna (Austria) on November 4 and 5, 2021, organized by the Austrian Economics Center and Fundación Internacional Bases.

Born in the city of Rosario, Argentina, in 2006, the Conference has become a must attend event for all those interested in the Austrian School of Economics, free trade, an open economy, and a social order favorable to entrepreneurship and innovation.

“We are very happy to be announcing the conference for November. Last year has definitely been challenging for all of us and we hope in 2021 we will be able to finally meet in person again,” said the president of Bases, Federico Fernandez.

The organizing team is confident that the pace of vaccination will accelerate in the summer months, thus enabling a return to normal for the most part by fall. They also emphasize that the congress will be offline or not at all. “We are making every effort to make sure that the event can take place in person. We are not betting on a hybrid or online version. We want the conference to be a face-to-face meeting and a memorable networking experience,” Fernandez said.

The event will be held at the Österreichische Nationalbank (OeNB). Hannes Gissurarson (Iceland), Agnieszka Płonka (Poland), and Mark Skousen (USA) are confirmed as Keynote Speakers. Moreover, both the call for papers and the registration as attendees are open.

ABOUT FUNDACION INTERNACIONAL BASES

Fundación Internacional Bases is an institution that thinks globally and acts locally. Bases takes part in the most relevant and important discussions regarding individual freedom and market economy. We do not seek to be just one more voice but to be an active part in a substantial change that brings the triumph of freedom, the transformation into a society of responsible individuals, the opening of the economy, and the diminishing role of government in our lives. For this we actively cooperate with think-tanks, individuals, educational institutions, people of the new media, and all those who want to achieve real freedom.
