Hans-Werner Sinn: We are consuming Russian gas in Western Europe. It still comes through Turkey.

Welcome to Make it Clear Interview.

Should the Czech Republic adopt the euro? Is there really no Russian gas flowing into Germany? What would a conflict with China mean for European economies? Why does Alternative für Deutschland currently have the support of 17% of Germans? And what are the causes of the high rate of inflation? We will talk about that too.

Our outstanding guest today is a professor of economics, the long-term president of the German Ifo Institute for Economic Research, the author of important German social reforms under the government of Gerhard Schröder, and today also an advisor to the German Ministry of Economy. He is considered one of the most influential and important German and world economists. He was among the critics of Angela Merkel's government, criticizes the European currency euro and the unreasonable green policy.

Professor Hans-Werner Sinn. The interview was conducted by Hana Lipovská.
