| (3/30/23) "Don't take a headline and that point say, 'Oh, I've gotta get out of the Dollar now because the Dollar is going to Hell in a handbasket because France is doing this deal with China and the Yuan.' Sure, will the Dollar eventually lose its currency reserve status? Possibly, one day, maybe. I'm not saying it can't happen. The question you've gotta ask yourself is, 'Does the world want to trade with China and the Yuan?' You've got to have a few things with currency. First of all, you have to have enough depth to handle trillions of dollars' worth of transactions every year. and B., you've gotta have some stability. And is the Chinese Yuan really the country you want to be dealing with currency in? The US has its problems, but out of all the other countries in the world, we're still the safest and the deepest currency out there, and we still have some remnant of Rule of Law. But a lot of these points, why countries are starting to move away from the Dollar, is because of inflation and because of our actions, and we act like we can [take] these actions against other countries without consequence. Well, this is the consequence."
