Abe Babe do you not know who Saddam is and what the US gave Saddam after this deal

Wow, this country supported Saddam Hussein! Donald Rumsfeld overthrew his "buddy" he met here in 1983 and 20 years later, him, Bush, Dick Cheney and other morons overthrew Saddam, our "ally" fighting against Iran. Wow, so we used Saddam against Iran and then overthrew him 20 years later because he was no use anymore and later, hanged him!!
Wow, when you align yourself with the U.S. government expect the unexpected! lol

In Clinton`s time, in 1998, after Iraq withdrew from its post-war agreement, the US Congress has adopted the "Iraq Liberation Act" which said US foreign policy should be to make efforts to remove Saddam from power. The same year, the US launched the (now forgotten) "Operation Desert Fox" and attacked Iraqi targets together with the UK from the air.
It wasn`t as big as the war in 1991 or 2003, but the intent was there for the future, to strive to remove Saddam.
Bush was quiet on Iraq until 9/11, when the US used it as an excuse to remove Saddam from power.
Maybe Bush and Rumsfeld had an old unfinished business with Saddam, but it`s ok, it`s politics.
It`s not that Saddam was in any way friendly to the US, he was still an enemy

@Abe Babe Hi Abe how are you. Thanks for your reply. Now you agree with me that Bush has some pending business with Saddam Husain. That's why when junior Bush became president He ttack Iraq with Tony Blair and remove Saddam from power in 2003. After 2003 Iraq war the matter highlighted in England when Tony Blair loss the election and there is a inquiry against Tony Blair that the Iraq war is right or wrong in the enquiry they told that attack on Iraq is a wrong step taken by England and America. Now you also highlighted 9/11 attack on U S. Saudi Arabia is world's biggest Sunni Muslim country and there are many proof Saudi royal family members funded Al Qaeda Osama Bin Laden for 9/11 attack. But there is no action from United States of American government and President of U S against Saudi royal family members. I don't know why US government is not going to take any stick action against Saudi royal family members. There is no link between Saddam Husain and 9/11 attack.

Bush`s personal involvement might have affected his final decision, but it`s not like it wouldn`t happen if it was someone else. The Congress has approved Saddam`s removal before Bush came to power, and it was considered in US best interests.
Some royal members in SA might have funded Al-Qaeda, it doesn`t make the entire kingdom an enemy to the US or the organizer of 9/11.
US shouldn`t take any steps against US because in general its government is cooperative and loyal to the US, unlike Iraq who was an opponent.
It` s right that Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11, but it was used as a political justification because the public was bloodthirsty for revenge against any enemy of the US.

@Abe Babe thanks for your reply my friend. But the reality is that that U S did not take any stick action against those royal family members who was involved in 9/11 attack. I am agree with you on this point that Saudi Arabia government is Loyal to United States of American government because they wants weapons from U S whome they used against Iran. Saudi Arabia is supporting US government and also supporting terror activities against America. Why Afghan war is going to be long because Islamic groups in Afghanistan gets financial help from these Arabian countries.

It was Rumsfeld, who was CEO of G.D. Searle pharmaceuticals in 1983 when this photo-op occurred, who personally saw to it that Iraq received the chemical agent precursors and the formulas and machinery to turn those precursors into fully weaponized chemical agents.

Saddam arrogantly dismisses Rumsfeld`s head bowing, twice, making it a single sided sign of resignation, instead of a mutual respect gesture.
If only he knew who will turn out to be a stronger chap, several years and several decades later
