Dr. Marc Faber, famously known as Doctor Doom, was born on the February 28, 1946, in Zurich, Switzerland, and graduated from the Zurich University with a degree in Economics. He later went on to get a PhD in Economics graduating magna cum laude. In the 1970s, Faber worked in the White Weld & Company Limited. He eventually settled in Hong Kong, where he began working at the Drexel Burnham Lambert. Faber would go on to establish Marc Faber Ltd. Faber predicted the crash of 1987, advising his clients to get out of the stock market before the crash of October 1987.
