We three kings of Orient are. Trying to smoke a rubber cigar. It was loaded, it exploded — Now we're on yonder star-ar.

very well thought out months of planning and a total success but how many people in other country's have had their pagers explode? the only reason they had them was for terror purposes so justified and now we know why their terrorists could arrive so quickly at sites to launch missiles and then just disappear before the Israelis retaliated.

An important point which gives am inkling to how this was done is the denial of the Taiwanese company about making these pagers. Rather they have licensed their brand to a Hungarian company that made them. So while pagers have the Taiwanese brand they were actually made in Hungary. I think their relations with Israel are cordial 😉

Oh, the pager, a relic so bold,
From a time when tech wasn’t quite so cold.
It beeped and buzzed with a mighty flair,
A digital whisper, "I’m over here!"
You’d wear it proud, clipped to your waist,
Feeling important, always in haste.
It sent you numbers, that secret code,
And off you’d go, down the information road.
No emojis, texts, or cute little gifs,
Just a string of digits, causing "What ifs?"
Was it your boss? Or a friend to call?
Or just your mom, paging after the mall?
Now it’s retired, forgotten by phones,
With all its buzzes and awkward tones.
But deep in the drawer, it waits to be found,
Your pager, the king of the beeping sound!

The exploding pager attack is at the level of the Entebbe hostage rescue. Kudos.
About Big Cars: The real issue is the influence of Big Auto and Big Oil. Their compaign contributions give them power over the Congress, who in turn can control what regulatory agencies do. Both Big Auto and Big Oil want to protect their industries' excessive profits, while caring not a wit for global warming or dead passengers.
Repealing Citizens United, which empowered the 1%, corrupted the Congress, and gave us villian Trump, would go a long way to solving the car weight issue, global warming, the unconstitutional Supreme Court, and a whole lot of other problems.
Many problems came out of the Citizens United decision. Getting rid of Citizens United, via legislation, would allow the country to move back toward the true center and away from the extreme right. The latter are mascarading as moderate conservatives; nothing could be further from the truth.

"These Bohemiths"? I call bias.
I live in my Silverado in the warm months. That "reporter" has a very limited worldview.

Wow, no mention of the obvious and enormous war crime? Ok. I guess that's what Economist calls reporting. I call is downplaying.
