30.07.2025 – The Swiss Residential Property Price Index (IMPI) rose in the 2nd quarter 2025 by 1.9% compared with the previous quarter and reached 123.3 points (4th quarter 2019 = 100). Compared with the same quarter of the previous year, inflation was 5.0%. These are some of the results from the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
In the 2nd quarter 2025, in comparison with the previous quarter, the prices of both single-family houses (+1.5%) and those of condominiums (+2.2%) increased across Switzerland. For single-family houses, the greatest price increase was seen in the category of rural municipalities (+3.4%). A decline in prices for single-family houses was only recorded in intermediary municipalities (-0.9%). The condominium market segment showed higher prices than in the 1st quarter 2025 in all municipality types. The greatest price increase was also seen in the category of rural municipalities (+3.0%).
