Why August Holds Danger for Investors | Three Minutes on Markets & Money [8/2/21]

(8/2/21) August tends to be one of the weaker months of the year; we've now gone six months without a negative market result. The risk of correction is heightened, the longer we go without a correction. The Money Flow Buy signal is in place, but much of the intertia has been consumed, limiting upside opportunities. COVID lockdowns, weaker economic growth, and potentially disappointing manufacturing numbers could weigh down markets. Plus, with the Jackson Hole conference offering the potential for official tapering news from the Fed, there are issues that could pull markets down. Be risk averse!
