Tort reform in Texas made law in 2003. Touted as relief from insurance premium increases. BS. Worked out great for the insurance companies and doctors. Premiums increasing double digit every year. Even those on Medicare. Insurance companies made more money and doctors got protected against claims, (some very legitimate). Just saying (IMHO).
But I agree health reforms needs to happen, unfortunately Republicans had years to do something and did nothing under Bush and have never put forward any plan after Obamacare except say, Dismantle It, with no replacement.
