| I believe that accurate self-knowledge is the key to success in work and life, and the most important thing for individual development and for building teams. In my own experience, I found that there was no clear path to getting objective and accurate assessments of what you and the people you interact with are like, and that figuring out how to get that was essential in building my company, Bridgewater. Raymond Thomas Dalio is an American billionaire hedge fund manager and philanthropist who has served as co-chief investment officer of Bridgewater Associates since 1985. He founded Bridgewater in 1975 in New York. Within ten years, it was infused with a US$5 million investment from the World Bank's retirement fund.
