To Cut or Not to Cut? This Is the Wrong Question

Should the Federal Reserve cut interest rates or hold them steady?


The debate is raging with plausible arguments on both sides, but Money Metals Midweek Memo podcast host Mike Maharrey thinks we're debating the wrong question. 


In this episode, Mike argues that the real question is why we let central planners control interest rates in the first place. He explains the role of interest rates in the economy and how politicians and central bankers have distorted the entire system to our detriment. 


Of course, central planners are going to centrally plan, so Mike explains how we can navigate things in the world as it exists.
