The last one isn’t an issue but an opportunity emerged as a result of the turmoil in China. Slowing growth in China has global capital looking for new places to invest, and Latin America seems like a perfect alternative.

Friedman says Latin America’s combination of inexpensive labor, infrastructure, stable governments, and rule of law makes it the new destination. Rising powers like Peru, Colombia, Chile, and possibly Argentina are picking up the slack as Brazil stumbles.
