My memories describe the mental health service as it was twenty years ago when I was in hospital and when I was re-integrated into the community. I have a lot of experience of the mental health service, in hospitals, both private and NHS, and the rehabilitation service, now and as it was when I came out of hospital.
This book is about my memories of the service in those days and how it is now, after the cuts.
I have described my favourite holidays, days out, the drop in centre in Crewe and Nantwich. This service helped me to survive my illness and condition. I am very grateful.
This book is also about the existing service and the future of mental health care.
