Le News is a free, quality, local English language newspaper launched on 31 October 2013. Le News fills a gap in local Swiss media for the numerous English-speakers living and visiting Switzerland. In late January 2015 we decided to put our print medium on hold and focus on our digital media presence.
The content
We report what’s happening locally and nationally, keeping you systematically updated via our website, weekly e-newsletter and social media channels. We hope we can help those who have recently arrived in the region feel more at home and for those who call Switzerland home, we hope Le News will bring a perspective on current trends that is distinctly different to the Swiss press.
The team
The Le News team is an eclectic bunch with broad and varied experience gained in most corners of the globe. We are British, American, South African, New Zealand, French, Italian and Swiss. We are journalists, writers, documentary producers, entrepreneurs, publishers, captains, designers, humanitarians, surfers, skiers, mountain bikers, gardeners, doctors, parents, coaches and mentors.
Over the years our editorial team has enlightened and entertained the readers of Bloomberg, Time magazine, Christian Science Monitor, The Global Journal, International Herald Tribune, Dispatches, National Geographic, Essential Edge, New York Times and many others.
Past and present writers and journalists are set out below. Some are highly experienced journalists, others are subject matter experts and some have a flair and desire to describe the world around them.
