| 1 November 2018 – The consumer price index (CPI) increased by 0.2% in October 2018 compared with the previous month, reaching 102.1 points (December 2015 = 100). Inflation was 1.1% compared with the same month of the previous year. These are the results of the Federal Statistical Office (FSO).
The 0.2% increase compared with the previous month can be explained by several factors including rising prices for heating oil and new cars. In contrast, prices for international package holidays and overnight stays in hotels decreased. |

| 1. November 2018 – Der Landesindex der Konsumentenpreise (LIK) stieg im Oktober 2018 im Vergleich zum Vormonat um 0,2% und erreichte den Stand von 102,1 Punkten (Dezember 2015 = 100). Gegenüber dem Vorjahresmonat betrug die Teuerung 1,1%. Dies geht aus den Zahlen des Bundesamtes für Statistik (BFS) hervor.
Der Anstieg um 0,2% im Vergleich zum Vormonat ist auf verschiedene Faktoren zurückzuführen, unter anderem auf die höheren Preise von Heizöl und Neuwagen. Die Preise für Pauschalreisen ins Ausland sowie jene für Hotelübernachtungen sind hingegen gesunken. |
