| Who is Professor Yanis Varoufakis? He is the champion of a different Europe – the Europe we all want, the Europe that should have been. A Europe built together in solidarity to enhance the well-being of all European peoples, and not just to protect the interests of global financial speculators and the excessive production of animal fat by Northern European countries. It is to promote this different Europe that Varoufakis established the Democracy in Europe Movement 2025 or DiEM25. It is to promote this different Europe that Varoufakis has returned to the Greek Parliament, having founded the European Realistic Disobedience Front or MeRA25, which is part of DiEM25.
