Nick Kounis

Nick Kounis is verantwoordelijk voor het macro-economisch onderzoek bij ABN AMRO. Hij richt zich op internationale economische vraagstukken en heeft zich de laatste jaren vooral beziggehouden met de Europese staatsschuldencrisis. Hij houdt geregeld presentaties voor financiële instellingen en het bedrijfsleven en verschijnt regelmatig in de media. In zijn vorige werkkring was hij Chief European Economist bij Fortis. Voordat hij als econoom bij een bank ging werken, was hij adviseur internationale economie bij het Britse ministerie van Financiën. In deze functie adviseerde hij onder andere over staatsschulden en IMF-programma’s, alsook over macro-economisch beleid en het begrotingskader. Nick Kounis is afgestudeerd in economie en financiën (laatstelijk aan de Universiteit van Durham (VK)).
