At the age of 13 I already knew that the average life of the middle class - ass-creeping, clerk job, own home on credit, consumer debt, no coal and no freedom - is not what I want. And I quickly realized that lasting success requires hard work and discipline. These characteristics were also the cornerstone for building my group of companies in the investment banking and real estate sector. In addition to my work as an entrepreneur and investment banker, economic education, especially of young people, is very important to me. At no school, at (almost) no university, do you learn how to handle money properly, how our money and economic system work, or how to invest money correctly. Consumer debt is like drugs, once it's cool and you can't get away from it. Any young person who does not run into consumer debt and instead sets goals for their lives is a win. I am happy when, through my books, media appearances, seminars and lectures, I can help people to manage their finances well and to lead a life in freedom instead of the hamster wheel of consumer debt.
