Axel Weber

Axel Alfred Weber, Prof., Dr. (born 8 March 1957) is a German economist, professor and banker. He taught at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and is a board member and chairman of the Board of Directors of UBS. He was president of the Deutsche Bundesbank and a member of the European Central Bank Governing Council from 30 April 2004 to 30 April 2011. He is a member of the Group of Thirty.
