Charlie Munger-The Right Hand Man of Warren Buffett
?Welcome to Podocarpus Capital? So who is Charlie Munger? The world was simply unaware that such brilliance was entering the world of finance, when Charlie Munger was born in Omaha on 1st January 1924. It is said that childhood predicts the future of a person. Looking into his dynamic academic records, one can see that this is not wrong. He studied mathematics from the University of Michigan. Mathematics itself is an equation that can never be solved, but hats off to Charlie that he conquered this mystery. Charlie also worked as a member of the Harvard Legal Aid Bureau at Harvard Law School, that too without an undergraduate degree. After graduating in 1948, Charlie started to work as a real estate attorney at Munger, Tolles & Alson. The ever-active Charlie now got a new idea hovering in his mind, and that was for the management of investments. Charlie took part in partnership with Otis Booth in a project of real estate development. He also formed an investment firm with Jack Wheeler. Unfortunately, his time with Wheeler produced some of Charlie’s greatest losses. Moral of the story, bad luck can even strike Billionaires early in life. Charlie’s association with Warren Buffett is one of the milestones in Charlie’s life, because Charlie had the same mental caliber as Buffett. Although Charlie is famous because of his association with Warren Buffett, few give credit to his contributions in Buffett’s life. From a period of 1962 to 1975, Charlie ran a partnership based investment firm. The interesting thing is that Charlie was the chairman of Wesco Corporation, which ultimately became a complete subsidiary of Berkshire Hathaway. This pool of business gradually spread. The main point is that Warren Buffett and Charlie Munger’s collaboration proved to be lethal. Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/7236021 ?
