Beate Sander, RN, MBA, MEcDev, PhD, is a Scientist and Director of Population Health Economics Research (PHER) with the Toronto General Hospital Research Institute at UHN. She is Director, Health Modeling & Health Economics at Toronto Health Economics and Technology Assessment (THETA) Collaborative and an Associate Professor at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation (IHPME) at the University of Toronto. Dr. Sander’s research focuses on economic evaluation, ranging from methods development to applied research, on infectious diseases. She is leading large multidisciplinary international teams evaluating Zika and West Nile virus mitigation strategies using data-driven simulation models, and estimating the burden of infectious diseases using population-based data. |
