Mises’s writings and lectures encompassed economic theory, history, epistemology, government, and political philosophy. His contributions to economic theory include important clarifications on the quantity theory of money, the theory of the trade cycle, the integration of monetary theory with economic theory in general, and a demonstration that socialism must fail because it cannot solve the problem of economic calculation. Mises was the first scholar to recognize that economics is part of a larger science in human action, a science that Mises called “praxeology.”Links to selected online writings by Ludwig von Mises:Human Action: A Treatise on Economicshttp://tinyurl.com/yapklreqAudio version: http://tinyurl.com/ab8wx88Theory and History: An Interpretation of Social and Economic Evolutionhttp://tinyurl.com/q9kf6jqAudio version: http://tinyurl.com/aa7gyv2Omnipotent Government: The Rise of the Total State and Total Warhttp://tinyurl.com/ybbl29opAudio version: http://tinyurl.com/ycf3fu93Economic Calculation In The Socialist Commonwealthhttp://tinyurl.com/y7dguva4Audio version: http://tinyurl.com/y8zr8v4nBureaucracyhttp://tinyurl.com/y7xzgs3vAudio version: https://tinyurl.com/ycv5auvxThe Theory of Money and Credithttp://tinyurl.com/yabb5jt2Audio version: http://tinyurl.com/y7shhbdqThe Anti-Capitalistic Mentalityhttp://tinyurl.com/qbwery7Marxism Unmasked: From Delusion to Destructionhttp://tinyurl.com/y8og9r4fA Hundred Years of Marxian Socialismhttp://tinyurl.com/yagfk3e9Interventionism: An Economic Analysishttp://tinyurl.com/y7eg5s6rSocialism: An Economic and Sociological Analysishttp://tinyurl.com/q2sq87wEconomic Policy: Thoughts for Today and Tomorrowhttp://tinyurl.com/ydyj253cEpistemological Problems of Economicshttp://tinyurl.com/yak3n2syIndividualism and Civilizationhttp://tinyurl.com/yauloqdrCapitalism, Happiness, and Beautyhttp://tinyurl.com/yao35ywcHistorical Setting of the Austrian School of Economicshttp://tinyurl.com/ycaddq85Liberty and Propertyhttp://tinyurl.com/y7b8ta5hMiddle-of-the-Road Policy Leads to Socialismhttp://tinyurl.com/ybdexds8The Free Market and Its Enemieshttp://tinyurl.com/nky7acoLiberalism: In the Classical Traditionhttp://tinyurl.com/y7bp83ejPlanned Chaoshttp://tinyurl.com/yde6sxh9Nation, State, and Economyhttp://tinyurl.com/ycjere4tThe Ultimate Foundation of Economic Sciencehttp://tinyurl.com/yb3zs4rsPlanning for Freedomhttp://tinyurl.com/yb7qz9rlIndividuals, Reason, and Actionhttp://tinyurl.com/yajwd9s8The Propaganda War Against Capitalismhttp://tinyurl.com/y6vn9fs7How Liberty Defined Western Civilizationhttp://tinyurl.com/ycdnqmh6Related online resources:Ludwig von Mises: Scholar, Creator, Herohttp://tinyurl.com/yd7ryowfLudwig von Mises: Defender of Capitalismhttp://tinyurl.com/ycplhhwjMises: The Last Knight of Liberalismhttp://tinyurl.com/y9z6k6pjAudio version: http://tinyurl.com/ybatmcelMy Years with Ludwig von Miseshttp://tinyurl.com/y6u2yj6nAudio version: http://tinyurl.com/a8hkbwbThe Austrian School of Economics: A History of Its Ideas, Ambassadors, and Institutionshttp://tinyurl.com/yagraqj3Audio version: http://tinyurl.com/y9ajba8kMises: An Annotated Bibliographyhttp://tinyurl.com/rltwhowPraxeology: The Methodology of Austrian Economicshttp://tinyurl.com/pf46rtkThe Cultural Thought of Ludwig von Miseshttp://tinyurl.com/y7y8kbgoThe Philosophical Origins of Austrian Economicshttp://tinyurl.com/y8z4sf59Ludwig von Mises and the Austrian School of Economicshttp://tinyurl.com/yavecrjuMises’s Epistemologyhttp://tinyurl.com/ycna45o9Economic Science and the Austrian Methodhttp://tinyurl.com/y8lgyztaThe Austrian School’s Critique of Marxismhttp://tinyurl.com/y84g9g7j* * * * *Audio presentation produced by the Ludwig von Mises Institute and licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 4.0 International License. http://creativecommons.org/licenses/b…This YouTube channel is in no way endorsed by or affiliated with the Mises Institute, any of its scholars or staff members.CategoryEducation
